Pressure Washer Hose Compatibility Checklist
Before ordering a replacement or extension hose, confirm the exact washer model and compare the connection and operating requirements with the hose’s manufacturer specifications.
What the specifications show
| 1. Machine identity | Record the full washer model and current hose part number |
|---|---|
| 2. Connector ends | Identify gender, thread or quick-connect type, M22 14/15mm interface and seals |
| 3. Pressure and heat | Verify rated working pressure and allowed water temperature |
| 4. Bore and length | Confirm hose inside diameter and permitted extension length |
| 5. Evidence | Use OEM manuals and part numbers; do not rely on a universal-fit claim |
How to choose
A threaded connection that screws together is not necessarily a safe seal. If the required fitting dimensions are not documented, contact the manufacturer before purchasing.
Models to compare
The seven checks before buying a replacement hose
Use this decision framework to rule out unsuitable products before comparing price or availability. Unknown specifications should remain unknown until checked against a current manufacturer document.
Identify both endpoints
Write down the washer model and spray-gun model. If an adapter is present, identify its inlet and outlet; do not assume the original fitting is still exposed.
Verify the sealing surfaces
Match connector type, gender, thread and any insert or sealing dimensions. An M22 thread match alone is insufficient when internal dimensions differ.
Check the working limits
Record the equipment’s required working pressure and water temperature. Verify that the hose and all connected components satisfy the documented limits.
Select length only after eligibility
Once the connection and rating checks pass, measure the real hose route and choose an appropriate length and diameter consistent with the manufacturer’s guidance.
| Check | Evidence to keep |
|---|---|
| Machine and gun | Exact model identifiers |
| Washer-side fitting | Documented type and sealing dimension |
| Gun-side fitting | Documented type and sealing dimension |
| Working PSI | Manufacturer rating and source |
| Water temperature | Manufacturer rating and source |
| Hose length and diameter | Job measurement and model specification |
| Source review | Date and manufacturer URL |

Evidence and maintenance
Before publishing a model-specific recommendation, store the manufacturer source URL, model identifier, exact attribute, and date checked. Recheck when the manufacturer changes a listing or when a visitor reports a mismatch. Do not substitute Amazon listing titles for manufacturer confirmation of technical compatibility.
These pages provide a research method and link to model-specific pages; they do not claim hands-on testing or guarantee compatibility with any particular pressure washer.
